This Policy is part of the Candyll Terms of Service and is incorporated into them by reference. It is a framework describing how any future promotional, credit, reward, or referral program would work if Candyll ever offered one. As of the Effective Date, Candyll operates no such program, and none of the features described here is currently available. Nothing in this Policy creates a program, promises that one will exist, or entitles anyone to any promotional value, reward, commission, payout, or credit balance. If a program is ever launched, it will be announced with its own program terms, subject to counsel review, and this Policy will be updated. Nothing in this Policy reduces any right you have under the law of British Columbia or Canada that cannot be waived.

Status at launch — nothing is active

  • No referral rewards. The Deal Ambassador / referral-reward features are planned and not currently available. No referral commission, reward, or payout is currently offered.
  • No customer credits or wallet. Candyll offers Customers no stored value, credit balance, wallet, or top-up of any kind.
  • No merchant wallet or payout. The merchant Maple Wallet is a planned feature and is not currently available. Candyll does not currently hold merchant sales proceeds, maintain merchant cash balances, or provide merchant payout or withdrawal functionality.
  • Sharing is fine, but unpaid. You may tell friends about a Deal, but doing so earns you no money, commission, credit, or reward — there is no reward program running.

This box is a plain-language summary. The numbered sections below are the operative terms.

1. What this Policy covers and how it fits with other documents

1.1 This Policy applies to promotional discounts, promotional credits, rewards, and referral benefits (together, "Promotional Value") that Candyll may choose to offer in the future to Customers on the Candyll website (candyll.com) or the Candyll mobile app (together, the "Platform"). No Promotional Value is offered as of the Effective Date.

1.2 This Policy does not cover:

  • the price of a Deal itself, or the improved group price a Deal reaches as more people join — that is simply the Deal's price under the Terms of Service and the Deal Pass Terms;
  • cancellations, redemption, and refunds — those are governed by the Cancellation, Redemption & Refund Policy and are handled by the Merchant, since Candyll processes no customer payments;
  • any future business-to-business tools a Merchant might buy from Candyll to promote its own listings — those would be Merchant-facing services under the Merchant Terms and are never available to, or usable by, Customers.

1.3 Order of precedence on promotion topics: (a) rights under applicable law that cannot be waived come first; (b) then this Policy; (c) then the terms published for any specific program ("Program Terms"), except that Program Terms may apply in place of this Policy where they are more favourable to you. The Terms of Service govern everything this Policy does not address.

1.4 No customer payment is involved. Candyll operates a pay-at-store model: Customers pay Merchants directly, and Candyll never processes, holds, or refunds customer payments. Any future Promotional Value therefore could never be, and would never be, a credit against a Candyll charge, a stored balance, a wallet, or cash — because Candyll takes no customer money to credit against.

1.5 Related documents: the Terms of Service, the Deal Pass Terms, the Cancellation, Redemption & Refund Policy, the Platform Access & Suspension Policy, and the Privacy Policy.

2. Words used in this Policy

  • Candyll / we / us — Candyll, operator of the Platform.
  • Customer / you — an individual with a Candyll account who browses Deals, Pledges, or redeems a Deal Pass.
  • Merchant — the business listed on the Platform that offers Deals and is the seller in every underlying purchase.
  • Deal — an offer by a Merchant listed on the Platform.
  • Deal Pass — the proof of eligibility Candyll issues to a Final Confirmed Participant after the Final Locked Price locks. A Deal Pass is not Promotional Value, is not money, and holds no value (see the Deal Pass Terms).
  • Program — a specific promotional, credit, reward, or referral offering that Candyll might publish under this Policy in the future, together with its Program Terms.
  • Promotional Value — a discount, promotional credit, reward, or referral benefit Candyll might grant free of charge under a future Program. Promotional Value is never something you pay for and does not exist today.

3. No stored value, no wallets, no cash — for anyone

3.1 Candyll offers Customers no stored value. There is no Customer wallet, no Customer credit balance, no top-up feature, and no way to load, hold, or save money in a Candyll account. Under the pay-at-store model, Customers pay Merchants directly and Candyll never receives customer funds.

3.2 Promotional Value, if ever offered, would not be money. It would not be a deposit, a balance you own, a gift card, a prepaid card, or stored value. It could not be redeemed for cash, withdrawn, transferred, or accumulated, and it would never be shown as a "$X balance".

3.3 Because Candyll processes no customer payment, there is nothing to credit. Any future discount could only ever operate as a defined benefit under published Program Terms; it could never be a credit against a Candyll charge, because Candyll issues none.

3.4 The golden rule on paid value. Candyll does not sell Customers any form of credit, voucher, or balance, and has no plan described here to do so. Everything this framework contemplates is granted free, if offered at all.

4. If a Program is ever offered — the default rules

None of the following is active today. If Candyll ever launches a Program, these defaults would apply unless its Program Terms said otherwise:

4.1 Free-granted only. Promotional Value would be granted at no charge; you would never pay for it.

4.2 One per person. Each benefit would be limited to one per person; using extra accounts to obtain a benefit more than once would be abuse (Section 6).

4.3 Personal and non-transferable. Promotional Value would be attached to your account and could not be sold, pooled, or transferred.

4.4 No cash value. Promotional Value would have no monetary value except when applied, as designed, under its Program Terms.

4.5 Non-stackable. Only one item of Promotional Value could apply to a single benefit unless the Program Terms expressly allowed otherwise.

4.6 Expiry. Promotional Value could expire; any expiry date would be stated clearly when granted. Expired Promotional Value is removed without compensation, because it was granted free.

4.7 Eligibility. Programs could set eligibility conditions (for example, holding an account in good standing, or being a new Customer), which would be stated in the Program Terms. Candyll's employees and contractors, and a Merchant and its staff in respect of Programs applied to that Merchant's own Deals, would be excluded unless the Program Terms said otherwise.

4.8 How a discount would apply. Because Customers pay the Merchant directly at the store, any future discount mechanic — and how it would interact with the Merchant's pricing, receipt, and tax — would be defined in its Program Terms and disclosed before you relied on it. Candyll would not process, collect, or refund any customer payment as part of a Program.

5. Anti-abuse and clawback (for any future Program)

5.1 Obtaining or using Promotional Value through fraud, false information, multiple or coordinated accounts, automated means, exploiting an error, self-referral, or breach of Program Terms would be abuse.

5.2 Where Candyll reasonably determined, on evidence, that Promotional Value was obtained or used through abuse, it could revoke the unused free benefit and decline to grant further benefits, and could act under the Platform Access & Suspension Policy (which provides notice, a written reason, and a right to respond and appeal).

5.3 Enforcement never takes money that belongs to you. Because Candyll holds no customer funds and any Promotional Value would be free, revoking it removes only the free benefit — there is no paid balance to lose, and any in-store purchase you already paid the Merchant for stands on its own between you and the Merchant.

6. Deal Ambassador / referral rewards — planned, not currently available

6.1 There is no referral reward program. Candyll does not currently operate a Deal Ambassador program or any referral-reward program. No referral commission, reward, credit, or payout is currently offered or accrues, and there is no leaderboard, ranked bonus, or tournament reward.

6.2 The most this Policy says about the future. Consistent with the launch positioning:

Deal Ambassador features may be introduced in the future. These features are not currently available, and no referral commission, reward, or payout is currently offered.

6.3 Sharing a Deal is allowed but unpaid. You may tell people you know about a Deal (for example, by sharing a link). Doing so earns you no money, commission, credit, reward, or Promotional Value of any kind, because no reward program is running. Any sharing must be honest, must not impersonate Candyll or suggest you act for Candyll, and must comply with Canada's anti-spam law (do not send bulk or unsolicited invitations).

6.4 Before any referral reward could ever launch, Candyll would first re-examine, with counsel, the compensation structure, referral and endorsement disclosure, tax reporting, contractor/employment classification risk, any payout method, anti-fraud controls, consumer protection, privacy and tracking, terms acceptance, and age eligibility — and publish Program Terms. Until then, references to "Ambassador", referral rewards, or commissions must not appear as active features in the Terms of Service, Merchant Terms, FAQ, Help Center, or marketing.

7. Customer credits — none exist

7.1 Candyll offers Customers no credit balance, wallet, or stored value (Section 3). There is nothing to earn, hold, spend, or withdraw. Any future customer-credit concept would require its own counsel-reviewed terms and is not contemplated as active by this Policy.

8. Merchant Maple Wallet — planned, not currently available

8.1 The merchant Maple Wallet is a planned feature and is not currently available. In keeping with the pay-at-store model:

Maple Wallet is a planned feature and is not currently available. Candyll does not currently hold merchant sales proceeds, maintain merchant cash balances, or provide merchant payout or withdrawal functionality through Maple Wallet.

8.2 Today, Candyll does not create merchant balances, accrue credit, allow top-up or withdrawal or transfer, execute any payout, or connect any settlement function to merchant sales proceeds. Merchant-facing promotional tools and any future merchant billing are governed by the Merchant Terms, not this customer-facing Policy.

8.3 Before Maple Wallet could ever activate, Candyll would re-examine, with counsel, stored-value implications, funds custody, payment-service and RPAA/FINTRAC implications, payout and settlement architecture, banking/processor and KYC/KYB requirements, fraud controls, tax and accounting treatment, disclosures, and ledger integrity.

9. Changing this Policy or launching a Program

9.1 Candyll may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced with reasonable advance notice by email or in-app notice before they take effect. Launching any Program is a deliberate, counsel-gated step, announced with its Program Terms.

9.2 Changes are prospective only. No change can create Customer stored value, make any benefit redeemable for cash, or reduce a right you have under applicable law that cannot be waived.
