This document was retired on July 16, 2026.
Candyll operates a pay-at-store model and processes no customer payments. Candyll does not charge cards, save cards, hold customer funds, act as merchant of record, or issue customer refunds. There are no Candyll payment mechanics for this document to describe. This page is kept at this address so older links keep working.
1. Why this document is retired
1.1 An earlier version of this document described how Candyll charged customers through a payment processor — saved cards, automatic charges when a group Deal confirmed, declined-charge retries, and Candyll-processed refunds. None of that exists under the current model. Candyll does not process, authorize, capture, hold, settle, or refund any customer payment.
1.2 That prior payment-based content has been removed as inoperative and does not govern anything. A historical copy of the retired version is available on request at customersupport@candyll.com.
2. How payments actually work now
2.1 You pay the Merchant directly, at the store. When you use a Candyll Deal Pass, you buy the goods or services directly from the Merchant and pay the Merchant at the store, using the Merchant's own payment methods. The Merchant is the seller, issues your receipt, and is solely responsible for applicable taxes, refunds, and exchanges.
2.2 Candyll never handles the money. A Pledge is not a payment. Final Confirmation is not a completed purchase. A Deal Pass is not a payment method or stored value and carries no money. Candyll neither receives nor holds the Merchant's sales proceeds and does not refund customer purchases.
3. What governs instead
This document is superseded by the Terms of Service — in particular its Redemption section (Section 16) — and the Deal Pass Terms. See also the Merchant Terms (the Merchant's pay-at-store obligations, including honouring the Final Locked Price, receipts, tax, refunds, and exchanges) and the Cancellation, Redemption & Refund Policy.
